For those who may have seen the website (probably not many of you as Google doesn't index this yet), you know that there are a lot of pages which are blank. I wanted to provide a quick update on what the immediate plan is and what the long term plan is going to be.
What's Been Done Behind the Scenes
Behind the scenes, a few significant events have happened which should make the site easier to set up:
- Rsync has been set up, allowing for easy transfer of static files.
- Git has been set up on the backend, allowing for the easy transfer of code.
Things I Want Done
These are things that still haven't been done but I 100% want to get them done:
- Relatively simple email through OpenSMTP and Dovecot.
- Some type of git front-end (cgit, stagit, etc)
Future Goals
Thse may or may not happen, they are bigger projects, largely depend on the previous stuff working or they're something I am just not sure about yet:
- A mailing list to allow for communication when software comes out at some point.
- Provide more context about who I am.
- More blog content.
- Teaching people about the server hardware and how to set it up
- Migrate content to a static site generator + markdown
Conclusion
Ultimately, I am still learning but this is the current plan and I am excited to see where it goes. Apologies if the article seems like filler, it pretty much is but I felt like some type of post was due just to document how things are going.
